My firm designs residential and commercial projects for clients in northern California, each one a unique response to site and purpose. We strive for finely detailed craftsmanship while paying close attention to budget and schedule.
The design process must embrace human aspects of architecture (beauty, scale, function, and comfort) in order to create meaningful spaces for people. It requires personalized collaboration and it's extremely important to listen. The Shared Vision process results in a built environment entirely reflective of a client's character and personality.
PRINCIPALOriginally from Maryland, Robert studied architecture and fine art at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design in Providence. In 1993, he became a project architect in Telluride, Colorado and for the next seven years helped create an array of custom residential and commercial projects before co-founding One Architects, Inc. A registered architect in Maryland, Colorado and California, Robert moved his young family to California in 2000 and launched his Sonoma studio in 2003. A lifetime artist, Robert enjoys sketching, painting and creating sand sculptures with his family when they're on vacation! He lives in Sonoma with his wife, Tiffany, and their two sons, Garrett and Matthew.
PROJECT COORDINATORAlden is a licensed Architect who has practiced for over twenty years throughout the San Francisco Bay area. He combines carpentry experience and design talent to create a strong expertise in design development and detailing. His career collaborations cover a wide range of project types including residential, community, institutional, hospitality and mixed-use projects.
PROJECT MANAGERKevin is a project manager and designer with 20 years of experience in residential and commercial projects. He is skilled in custom residential architecture with an emphasis on interior and exterior detailing, millwork, cabinet design and product selection.
While practiced in the complexities of commercial lighting, Kevin has a special talent in the nuances of residential lighting design and fixture specification. His ability to spearhead a task and keep the bigger project picture coordinated is extremely valuable.
ASSOCIATECory is a 2011 graduate in Design Technology from American River College, beginning his career in the architectural field. Cory's ability to learn quickly and stay on task makes him a valuable part of our team and shows his promise.
ASSOCIATE / INTERIORSCarol joined the team after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Oregon State University. Her experience with interiors projects has helped us in the expansion of our own interior design department, while her eagerness to learn has furthered her knowledge of the architectural side of design. Carol's attention to detail and ability to multi-task quickly made her an integral part of our team.
OFFICE MANAGER / ADMINISTRATORCynthia joined our team with over 20 years of Executive Assistant experience. Her background includes working in related industries such as, an architectural/engineering firms, custom home builders, corporate offices of real estate and mortgage companies, and various positions in the Sonoma Community.
Her customer service and organizational skills are an asset in keeping our office running smoothly.
ACCOUNTING / HUMAN RESOURCESTiffany tackles the bookkeeping and Human Resources in the office, drawing on her background in the hospitality industry. When she is not in the office she can often be found in her art studio.
DRAFTSPERSONTina uses her experience in web and graphic design to help guide her work in architectural drafting. In her free time, Tina is an artist specializing in abstract painting, she also teaches herbal classes and makes her own herbal products.
